Fabulous Fun (OR PARTYING AT SAN MARINO CLUB FOR BIG FAMILY)
Last night I went to the Big Family of Michigan annual auction. I took some of my poem pieces to be in their auction. It is stretching to let go of my pieces and watch as others see and judge them. The purpose of the event is to raise money for foster children services and encouragement. I love hearing the stories of the lives that are impacted by this great org. Here is one that touched me: Jo (see pic, she is on the right) age 19 who feels like she is the richest person in the world. Even though her mom died when she was young and she slept in barns, lived on beans and was responsible for her toddler nephew she is in college and pumped to complete her goals. Consider making a donation for Christmas gifts or signing up to wrap! Or pick out a poem piece to give someone on your list and choose Big Family of Michigan at checkout and they will receive 50%. Every great person is a gift of many small acts of kindness.
